Approaching from the east on the A86, Roy Bridge is approximately 30 miles from the junction at Dalwhinnie with the A9, the main Perth to Inverness trunk road. Alternatively if approaching from the west coast, Roy Bridge is 3 miles from the junction at Spean Bridge where the A86 meets the A82 Glasgow to Inverness trunk road. The picturesque village of Roy Bridge has a grocers shop, post office, two hotels
(with public bars serving food), a village hall with frequent events, a railway station
with services to Fort William, Oban and Gasgow and a regular bus service to Fort
William. The railway links to the West Highland Line steam service at Fort William.
For motorists, Roy Bridge makes an excellent central location for day trips to the
west coast, Speyside, the Cairngorms National Park, Inverness, Loch Ness & Urquhart
Casle, Pitlochry and northern Perthshire. Close to the cottages are excellent views
