For people looking for a holiday cottage at which to base their fishing holiday, Bohenie Lodges are ideally placed in the centre of a vast area of great fishing locations.  

Permits can be arranged for the period of your stay,  contact the owner who can acquire permits for several rivers within an easy drive from the Lodges. Please request permits at the time of booking as the permits etc take time to arrange.

Each day our guests can check the weather forecast and then decide to go east or west, wherever the most favourable conditions will be. Below are the rivers and lochs within an easy day trip by car together with the approximate distance in miles shown like this (25).

Local Salmon Fishing Rivers (Atlantic Salmon)

Scottish Rivers flowing to the West Coast generally have a season that starts and ends approximately one month later than the Scottish Rivers flowing to the East Coast.

Salmon fishing season dates are shown for each river system but do check with one of the main fishing information sources e.g. flyfish-scotland (salmon) before booking your fishing holiday at one of our lodges.

The season for brown trout fishing is 15 March to 6 October with the best fishing from April to September. Brown Trout are abundant in almost all the rivers and lochs in all areas within an easy day out. Again please check accurate info for yourself e.g. flyfish-scotland (trout)
